hmmm

65149: You do know you've made...quite a few spelling mistakes, right? Its an insult to the Hunger Games!!
Just Kidding

That aside, yes, totally. And Mariah7 is right, that is the essence of the book. Its the plot. Without it there would be no THG, and no obsessive fangirls.

Well done, Irene.
Yah I agree with Katniss_Mellark. Just stating the obvious, but there are some.. horribly gory deaths (the kid coughing up blood with a knife in his back, CATO, RUE, the whole peeta's leg thing, the boy who was strangled by Cato... Etc.) I just don't see how they can ever make it into a movie. If they can and its great, I'll be happily eating my words with a fork but I really can't see how their gonna turn 22 disgustingly gory deaths in a row into a movie, like K_M said, thats not rated R.

i wish they did make a rated r movie it would be so much better. but since it a young adult book i know they wont. pg-13 would be fine.

It's a good book...a very good one in fact. But the best futuristic novel ever? I'd have to say not even close.

I'm not sure what the best would be, but books that I think are better are Neuromancer, Ender's Game, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Fahrenheit 451, and Brave New World. I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.
