woops. Anyway, Vitomil Zupan, a Slovene writer, wrote my favorite WWII novel, called Minuet for Guitar. Apparently it was briefly available in English. Now I believe it could be had virtually for the asking. If anyone has any kind of connection with DA press, Zupan would be their kind of author. At least I think so.

The deed is done. Thanks both of you.

Also, Dalkey Archive is on facebook if you wanna try contacting 'em that way. Dunno anything about how they respond to recommendations or what their policies are or anything, but it couldn't hurt to try.

he would be a good fit...serpent's tail, too

or Green Integer Books also. But, like ateolf, I've no clue if they take recommendations.

Keep us apprised of this process in finding a home for Vitomil Zupan. I love discovering new writers or writers who've slipped through time's cracks, and will make a point of supporting this author if perhaps a potential receptive publisher decides it needs more than one voice of "hey, publish this guy already!"

Thanks for the support. Slight progress has been made. I have a friend who can find out who the Slovene connection with DA is. Plus I know someone who can tell DA where Zupan's archives are.
