new books

I just got Fitted Knits by Stefanie Japel and I love every pattern in it. It's going to be hard to decide which one to do first.

I also just got Stephanie Pearl-McPhee Casts Off. Haven't had a chance to look at it yet but I'm sure I'll enjoy it since I've enjoyed her other books.

I am also looking forward to Knitting Lingerie Style by Joan McGowen-Michael coming out on May 1st.

What are some new knitting books that you're interested in?

That Knitting Lingerie Style sounds like fun. I'm always looking for books that have unique and different designs. I'll have to take a look at it when it comes out.

A friend of mine just picked up Fitted Knits and is very enthusiastic to start trying out the patterns. Personally, I'm on tenterhooks waiting for Eunny Jang's book of patterns to come out. Man, I love that girl's designs.

I didn't realize Eunny had a book coming out. Do you know the title or publication date?

It's not a new publication, but my latest acquisition is Sally Melville Styles. Of course I decided I wanted it after it disappeared from the stores. But I was lucky to find it recently at a small vendor at a knitting conference.

I'm really enjoying the approaches she gives. Now I must seek out her more recent books.

Ooh, sorry, I didn't realize someone asked me a question. Eunny definitely has a book coming out, but I only know a rumor about the title: "Avant Garde designs for the Adventurous Knitter." That's just something Gawker mentioned in passing, so it could be total rubbish or changed by now. :) In any case, I'm sure the patterns will be fantastic.
