Any suggestions on what we should stock that we don't currently please...

Hi,
I've been a member of librarything for a couple of years whilst I've also been working on a trading website for our comic / graphic novel shop Page 45 in Nottingham, which has been open for 16 years years now.

We've probably got about 1500 manga in stock out of about 6000+ titles all together, but I'm always interested in finding out what other manga we probably should be stocking.

I'm personally loving pretty much everything on the Viz Sig Ikki imprint at the moment. We just got Saturn Apartments vol 2 in today and I can't wait to read it tonight! The manga I'm most waiting for though is Summit Of The Gods vol 2 illustrated by Jiro Taniguchi.

We've just launched the site so I would love it if anyone who is interested would pop along and have a look and maybe give me some feedback.

The URL is http://www.page45.com and to get straight into the manga section it's http://www.page45.com/store/manga.html

kind regards,

Jonathan

Well I dont have that much time to go through the entire website, but this is what I can tell you for know.

1. Your main page is too busy. The buttons should all be in one location, not scattered all around (even though it looks nice).

2. As far as searching for manga, I like how you have it organized by series, however, if I were to look up Mars under M, it's not there. It only shows up under rare books. I think that you should have it in both locations, or remove the rare books section and incorporate it with the other books.

>1 jonathan_rigby: Hello.

One of my first impressions of the website is it's awkward to navigate. Usability testers might help reveal what parts of the site are making people feel lost and why. (Please make sure to pay them, even it's only with a free book or t-shirt.)

For an example of what a user sees, I think the side menu is overwhleming. The organization of it makes no sense. I had to poke around and group up the links in my mind to keep track of what the category links for.

The groupings help with deciding on what to click.

Also... there's no good description of what Page 45 is and who it's for? That's an essential piece of a professional website that's either missing from yours or not easily seen. I expected to find a concise description on the Home page after noticing there's no About link. Instead, ignoring this thread that most of your site visitors won't know about, I had to go to Twitter to dig up one: Page 45 is a "UK comic shop curated since 1994 by Stephen Holland. We Ship Worldwide!"

(Speaking of Twitter, what in the world does "Comics Laureate 2021-23" mean? I feel that's an in-joke.)
