Hi,
I know that your first book caused a lot of turmoil in your life - getting put on a hit list for example. I was just wondering if you are still living with the fear of this?? Several recent attempts have been made to compose a list of "must-read novels," and one or more of your works frequently appears in these lists (especially Midnight's Children and The Satanic Verses). Do you think such a list has any meaning, and are you honoured by your inclusion?
