I am looking for recommendations for good books. I love fiction mostly, but can also go for some biography and history, and once went through a big Civil War phase. I tend to like modern fiction best, but have also been getting into some 19th century stuff. I'd like to get to know more contemporary authors, but there are a few things that really get on my nerves, like first-person narrators except where they're handled really delicately (not too indulgently, not too transparently just the author themselves). If you've got any ideas for me, let me know!
