About My Library

My library contains a variety of Canadian youth fiction, ranging from my favorite children's picture books to chapter books for adolescents and teens. I chose this format for a graduate course project and will add to it as I pursue other young adult reading projects.

What can I say, as an adult, I cannot believe some of the subject matter being written for today's children. What happened to simple, innocent adventurous story lines?

Since retirement from a K-12 school environment, I am expanding my repertoire, reading historical and biographical memoirs of 20th century icons including the British Royal Family. I am considering writing my own memoir or possibly children's books with simple story lines.

About Me
I am a retired high school library technician in Ontario Canada/MLIS graduate pursued totally online at SJSU. I started blogging children and youth book reviews for a Canadian Youth Literature course. As I read more YA literature I shall add it here. I have reviewed YA literature for the Ontario Library Association's Forest of Reading Program and judged youth categories for the Ben Franklin Awards of the Independent Book Publishers Association all voluntarily. I will consider reviewing new books for authors on a totally gratuitous basis, you send me the book, I read and review it, then donate to a local library.
