Om migI am a writer. I've published 15 poetry collections over the three decades. My main muse has been Charles Bukowski, although I was also influenced by Lawrence Ferlinghetti and a few others.

In addition to poetry books, I have also published journalism, fiction, non fiction, blogs, book reviews, commentary, analysis, technical articles for consumers and technical articles for experts in the field, various white papers, and a number of academic papers in peer reviewed journals. My work has also appeared in anthologies and textbooks, I collaborated in writing an early Internet technology book, edited an advanced medical textbook, contributed to a book on Deming’s work on Statistical Process Control methods, and ghostwritten a few books.

I have three academic degrees, from the University of Tennessee, California State University Long Beach and Queens University of Charlotte. I did work toward a fourth degree (in electrical engineering) at UCLA but had to relocate before I could finish, as well as having done a good bit of additional work at places like Michigan and Stanford. Among the jobs I've held have been English professor (at several schools), writer/editor/publisher, technical writer/editor, project/program manager, networking engineering professional, ops manager, advertising manager, IT consultant, foreign affairs and policy analyst, career coach, entrepreneur, etc.

I have lived all over North America. Los Angeles was my favorite place. I recently made my 30th move from Chattanooga to the Gettysburg PA area, where I live with my amazing wife and our two cats. Among my current fields of interest are AI/ML, biology, quantum physics/gravity/computing, aerospace, history/military history, government/political science/theory, cyberwarfare, limited nuclear warfare, space warfare, neural networks, dark matter, neuroscience, China/E Asia, audiophilia, etc.

Om mit bibliotekMy library has grown while on this site. It's a fairly diverse library (although it IS dominated by sci fi), and my special pride is my collection of autographed books. I have many, among them books signed to me by Charles Bukowski, Lawrence Ferlinghetti and William S. Burroughs. Among my other favorite writers are Philip K. Dick, Christopher Hitchens, Chris Bunch, Terry Pratchett, Thomas Paine and David Weber. And I am usually reading over 150 books simultaneously, typically on at least 30+ subjects. I love to read and learn!
