Om migI'm 45 years old, and I'm a one man IT department for a small-ish restaurant company (5 locations). I have a daughter who's 6 and a son who's 4. I live in New Orleans, Louisiana, and lost ALL of my books in Hurricane Katrina, but I'm working on replacing them as time and money allow.

Om mit bibliotekMostly mystery/detective with a good bit of history, but it's pretty specific history - lots of it to do with 19th century British Raj. Got interested in that topic because of my all-time favorite series - the Flashman books. Favorite authors - Michael Crichton, George MacDonald Fraser, Lawrence Block, Martin Cruz Smith, Scott Turow. Also a big fan of Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler & Ross MacDonald. I have several books about and related to Sir Richard Francis Burton - MUCH more interesting than books BY him. Several on and about Winston Churchill. Love the Lensmen series by E.E. "Doc" Smith, and the Riverworld and World of Tiers series by Philip Jose Farmer. Big fan of Richard Dawkins. Having lost my home and everything in it in Hurricane Katrina, I have an understandable personal interest in books on the hurricane - Chris Rose's "1 Dead in Attic" being the best, if you're looking to read any. The Great Deluge is also an excellent (althought admittedly non-objective) Katrina account. Oh, and I like James Lee Burke's Dave Robichaux novels, but I'm not real proud of that fact - I pretty much consider them a guilty pleasure.
