About My Library

I regularly think that I will use this to catalog all of my books, read and unread, but let's be realistic, I am not that organized and I have never had a hyper fixation long enough for such a task. Mostly I will record books as I read them.

Like most people here I have been a lifelong lover of books. I have formative memories of checking out so many books on the library that I had to set the books down on the sidewalk and sit on the curb to rest on the way home. I have been slowly building my personal library ever since, but at some stage of the pandemic whatever brakes I used to have to slow my book acquisition came off and cannot be found.

Interests reflected in my library: science fiction and fantasy; science -- especially physics, evolution, and environmental science; American history; translated literature -- especially by women; tiny independent publishers; novellas; poetry; heresy; women in science; pregnancy, childbirth, and reproductive rights; classics, marginalized authors.

I am a sucker for a #bookstagram challenge and am invested in a quest to read a book from every country in the world (the book must take place in that country AND be by an author from that country).

I publish speculative fiction novellas at Dancing Star Press.
