About My Library
I use LibraryThing to list what I have read or would like to read, rather than necessarily to catalogue books that I actually own.

In my current rating system, two stars are given to books that I did not like for one reason or another. They are not necessarily bad books, they just did not work for me at the time I picked them up. A rating of 2.5 suggests a neutral stance, and anything higher than that denotes varying degrees of enthusiasm. No rating does not necessarily mean that I disliked a book, I might not actually have read it yet!
About Me
An enthusiastic reader from the North West of England. I enjoy literary classics, contemporary novels, historical fiction, history and biography. When I'm not reading books or computer screens I like to get out walking in the country, so I also like books that reflect this interest. These days I read very little about politics, and not many mystery or crime novels, yet both these genres were a big part of my reading in my first few years on Librarything.
