I have loved books ever since I learned to read and wish I had the spare cash to own a lot more than I do. I don't have any qualms about parting with a book I don't like. My library reflects my many interests and my love of learning. I am a behavioural dog trainer, train my own dogs for competition, have an interest in the history of the border collie and collect pedigrees so I have many titles on these topics. Although these days I tend to buy more DVDs than books. My other great love is cooking and I have quite a large collection of cook books that I must admit is shrinking as I part with those I never use. I enjoy reading biographies, about history, mysteries and love collecting coffee table books. I don't sew much these days but have a good collection of quilting and textile art books. My gardening books tend to reflect my own interests and usually the titles I buy have a practical need at the moment. Cataloging my books here is providing an opportunity to cull the books of no further use to me, prompting me to read those still unread and urging me to buy more.
