Medlembooksmatternkorangps

The books in this collection were sent to Nkorang Public School on February 22, 2014. The village of Nkorang (1,000 people) is outside of Kumasi in the Ashanti region. The village is very poor, rural (not close to a main road), and almost all of the villagers are cocoa farmers. The primary school has about 200 students. "This community really needs this library and a boost of education. They have the motivation to help lift the community up, just no resources to do so." (RK)
The books arrived in Ghana in late May, 2014.

Books Matter sends books to schools in Ghana, West Africa. We are located in Toronto, where we collect donated books. We then ship the books to Ghana, thanks to monetary donations made at our website. Many of those donations come from generous LT members. (We thank you!).
