- I'm no brainiac, but every once and a great while I will try to read something that involves politics,science or history or a mash of all and most likely I will not have finished it. Mostly though I read chick lit, humorous autobiographies or historical fiction (Does "The Godfather" count as historical fiction?). Lately I find that I really enjoy stories that revolve around America's immigration (e.g. Ellis Island. Read "Elizabeth Street" or "Brooklyn"). Love a love story, love dark humor and/or Brit humor, but a really good book is one where I can see myself as the main character. Why would I want to put a book like that down?
