Om migMy reading preference is adult speculative fiction with a lean toward the dark. I say that but I realize I recently finished a Crime Mystery (The Trespasser) and now I'm reading a Historical Fiction book (The Last Ballad) so I am a bit all over the place. I'm pretty solid on reading "adult" books though.

I read a lot of short stories. I do like novels but I seem to have this backlog of short stories I want to read. It's like I missed the e-magazine party when it started and I want to get caught up. And!, short stories are a great way to find authors writing stories with styles I like, without the time it takes to read novels. And!!, so many are available on podcasts so I can fit them in while I do other things. And!!!, novels often seem to be part of a series and I don't want to commit to any series right now.

I have a goal of reading all my "old" stuff then keep up with recent publications. I don't know if it's ever going to happen. This is the top of my third year with that goal. COVID messed up some of my mojo about it but I still desire to meet that goal.

I cataloged on GRs for 7-8 years but I had to let them go. My biggest complaint besides the many broken things and empty promises was record edits are mostly done by users with editing privileges. If you want an accurate catalog for yourself, there is a lot of "begging" involved. And! they don't allow the listing of non-traditional items.

I am grateful to LT for all that we are allowed to add here and do ourselves. Quite different. LT lacks in the reviews though :/
