About My Library

I have been avidly collecting books in many diverse areas since I was a child. The first book I remember reading is Arthur Conan Doyle's _The Lost World_. The copy I read then is still in my personal library. I have thousands of books by this point, and that's not counting the ones I have parted ways with over the years to make more room for incoming books. I read and love them all.

About Me

I majored in English in college and went to obtain a Master's and Ph.D. in literature. I am interested in many genres of literature, from classical works to contemporary works. Science fiction, fantasy, and horror are three of my favorite genres. I read both fiction and non-fiction. I am a published author of academic essays in many different forums (journals, encyclopedias, collections, etc.) and so far have one published book to my name. I am currently under contract to write another academic book. I have been teaching college English and humanities for many years and recently became a community college administrator. I am also heavily involved in the national Popular Culture Association.
