About My Library
A hodge-podge that reflects my serial obsessions over the years. There are also several obscure books that noboby else has listed.
About Me
I'm a right brained science geek. Talk about a square peg in a round hole. I'm thoroughly enjoying retirement after working 25 years as a NASA earth system scientist - worked on improving climate models. Ask me about global warming and long-term sustainability if you want me to light up. Ask me about my library, too *grin*. I've loved writing since I was ten--short stories first, then poetry in high school and college (even won an award). Now it's novel writing--working on my 'magnum opus' (it's a rewrite and continuation of the experimental first effort that I indie-published as 'Twilight's Ashes').

Through my younger years I built two houses with my bare hands and without assistance. These days I love reading (duh), hiking (working my way through the Appalachian Trail in sections), and have made two trips to South America, during which I've climbed peaks as high as 20,000 feet (that explains the picture, taken in Bolivia).

Since joining LT, I'm trying to review everything I read - and since I don't like reading one-line reviews, I'm trying to make my reviews substantial without being tedious. Let me know if I've got the balance right (or wrong).
