- About My Library
- There are 375+ books in total. 200 are listed here, which encompasses most of the main "collections" (photography artbooks excluded). Those omitted are mostly artbooks, references, textbooks, children's books, and things with titles like "The Behavior and the Reproductive Success of the Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher" or "Pathophysiology Made Incredibly Easy!"
There used to be a used book store proprietor in the town where I grew up who dealt in hardcover books, especially rare & antique editions and special-interest books. The many trips to the store made my collection much more beautiful and interesting than it would have been otherwise, and it makes me happy to have seen, or to be able to see, the 100th birthday of more than a few books.
That brick-and-mortar store has since disappeared, as have all of the used bookstores in my hometown and the surrounding area, making the journey through categorizing and recategorizing my collection a bittersweet one. - About Me
- I'm a student of chemistry, neurobiology & behavior, and Russian literature. I've found myself drawn more to fiction, especially literary fiction, as I've gotten older; the exception being monographs on the history of science and Russian history.
Aside from reading, I also enjoy photography, singing, playing the piano, writing, and nighttime field research excursions. - Sted
