You may notice I have a slight Lincoln obsession. I've recently been infected with a Rasputin virus, which is a burgeoning obsession as well. :)

I am a pagan as is also evidenced by my library. I used to try to keep that under wraps, but have recently decided that I don't care what others think or believe. This is me.

My library is otherwise eclectic and I would like to think well rounded. I am endlessly curious and desperate for new knowledge and no, there is no such thing as "too many" books.

Melinda Renken was awarded her B.A. in creative writing from The Evergreen State College in 2013. She earned her MFA in creative writing at Sierra Nevada College in August 2016. Melinda is currently at work (in the painfully slow manner of a slug on tranquilizers) on her first novel. She expects to publish it sometime before civilization comes to an end--though she isn't ruling out delays and false starts. She lives in a rural community in Washington State with her husband. Her very spoiled cats, Bella (19 years), Chloe (2 years) and the spirit of Cameron (Rest in peace, my sweet, Floofy Boy) graciously allow her to live in their house.
Her personal essay entitled “Last Night I Found Your Headstone” appeared in the digital 2016 fall edition of “The Longridge Review”
