Om migLSE Human Rights (The Centre for the Study of Human Rights at the London School of Economics and Political Science) is a trans-disciplinary centre of excellence for international academic research, teaching and critical scholarship on human rights.
Om mit bibliotekThe LSE Human Rights Reference Library is based in the Centre for the Study of Human Rights and is home to the Stan Cohen Collection.
The Stan Cohen Collection is comprised of books, reports and other published works owned by the late Professor Stanley Cohen (a founding member of the Centre) and entrusted to the Centre by his family. It is a wide ranging collection, containing publications spanning Stan’s interests in deviance, sociology, psychology, criminology, human rights and much more.
The General LSE Human Rights Centre Collection is a small but diverse collection of human rights-related books and reports, and the SO424 Course Core Collection contains some key reading material for LSE MSc Human Rights students.
LSE MSc Human Rights students have access to the Library during the Centre's opening hours. Students and staff from other programmes, and members of the public, may visit the Library by appointment (email s.ulfsparre@lse.ac.uk) between the hours of 10am and 5pm, Monday-Friday in term time. The Stan Cohen Collection is housed in a busy meeting room, so prior booking is essential.
Materials contained in the Library are for reference only, and cannot be borrowed. We regret that we do not currently have photocopying facilities.
