Om migHammockHouse is the household of the author Susan Maxwell. Some of the household remains private; Susan, naturally, wishes to be very much in the public eye, along with her latest publication, Good Red Herring. You can find out more about Susan on her author page.

Om mit bibliotekOur library consists of a mixture of fact and fiction, high and low culture, with a decided slant towards academic study of the humanities and more than a passing nod to the non-gruesome end of detective fiction. If we were separated from our library and could keep only six books, they would (probably) be: Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities; Umberto Eco's The Name of the Rose; Herodotus' Histories, vols. One and Two (in the original Greek, to keep the brain working); E.J. Hobsbawm's The Age of Extremes; Tove Jansson's Moominland Midwinter; and W.G. Sebald's Austerlitz. Which leaves out so many favourites that we can only hope that we may never be forced to make this terrible choice ...
