- I like edgy, dark, thrillers as well as a bit of romance.
In SF I'm generally more interested in the 'what if' and the characters' reaction to that than the tech. Though, of course, the 'what if' can be tech (love cyberpunk).
Good world building is a big draw for me, the development of languages (I'm a linguist) and all those different aspects and scenarios of humanity and where it is or could be headed.
I really enjoy mind fucks. The taking apart and putting back together, and what that reveals about both parties involved and how they tick. The workings of control on both ends. If the psychology is done well, the mechanics are secondary. - About Me
- G.B. Gordon worked as a packer, landscaper, waiter, and coach before going back to school to major in linguistics and, at 35, switch to less backbreaking monetary pursuits like translating, editing, and writing. Having lived in various parts of the world, Gordon is now happily ensconced in suburban Ontario with the best of all husbands.
