I absolutely loved loved loved this book. Watching Elise come back and come into her own, and also do whatever it takes while apologizing for nothing and kicking butt, was awesome. I enjoyed seeing a powerful woman taking control, but not just that. She learned that sometimes, when you find someone you can depend on, it is ok to lean into them every once in a while. Even though it didn't really work out for her and Van, at least she understood going in he was a Mr. Right Now, and she never expected him to be Mr. Right. When she finally figured things out for herself, she was able to let go of control long enough to let someone balance her out, but she never lost herself. I think the life lessons in this book, although it's meant to be entertaining, are very important. I love when a book gives me something deeper to look at, as this one did. I will be on the lookout for more of this series. Bravo!… (mere)
