This is truly a "must read" book---this warm and wonderful book by a remarkable doctor as he cares for his patients, and his parents---gives his account of his emotional involvement with all of them. All of us fit right in, somewhere, into his descriptions of living as a parent, child, and patient. He takes you behind the scenes, into the workings of the medical establishment, providing insight into the decisions we will all face for ourselves and our loved ones at some time in our lives. It is beautifully written and starts in his childhood, through his medical training and right up to the present. He speaks directly to the reader and he is more than worth listening to.… (mere)
