Not necessarily my cup of tea but still a good story.

Pasha and the Lost Mountain is a fantasy story about two children and the super-powered dogs. As an adult reader I found it flat and full of stereotypes. However, I believe it would capture the attention of a child, particularly one who loved animals.

Pasha and the Lost Mountain is a magical tale about the adventures of two children and their dogs. The ancient plot of good against evil is depicted in a new series of books aimed at young adults who like a little fantasy in their reading material. This fun and fanciful page-turner appeals to all ages.

While some readers may not appreciate some of the humor in this highly readable novel, the majority of readers will probably like the action and adventure the protagonists experience while on their missions. This author, in his debut novel, has created some lovable and realistic characters.

Recommended for readers of fantasy and fiction ages 10 and up.

Dogs with magical powers, and two children with half the globe between them that share them. Dangerous adventures that last minutes in the real world but much longer in the magical alternate reality - all the makings are here of a wonderful young children's story.

Adults will tire of some of the concepts, or perhaps be irritated by the rather stereotypical English family, complete with tweed jackets! But kids probably will not care at all and could love this book.
