4 1/2- this is a very odd and strange book but O really enjoyed it and wanted to read it multiple times.

The pictures in this book are very blured and not clear. You can see what the pictures are but there are no clear lines defining the pictures. This book is similar to the gingerbread man. The baker wanted a child so he decided to jus bake a child, then the rain washed her away.

The Jewel Box Ballerinas is about a girl named Bibi that buys two of everything. She goes into a store one day and sees the jewel box with the two ballerinas but sees that the ballerinas have frowned faces so she buys them and decides that she is going to do everything she can in order to get those frowns turned into smiles.

I really liked this book. I thought that the concept was creative and imaginative. I think that it would be suitable for about 1-3rd graders. A fun activity we can do with it is bring sugar cookies for the whole class. I think the kids will really enjoy that.
