Landscapes of Change is worth poring over. It's not a gardening book, per se; it collects some GREAT landscape architecture projects from all over the world.

Urban gardens, a bridge that goes through the water in the moat, vertical garden installations, new style wastewater treatment plants.

I did find that many of the detail plan drawings in Landscapes of Change are meant for the professional landscape architect reader. Their abundance is a detraction for the non-specialist reader.

Also, I lowered my rating because upon closer examination of some of the "photos," I discovered they were conceptual computer images. complete with human and animal participants enjoying the planned virtual installation. That's just downright cheating!… (mere)
