So not what I was expecting. I felt like I was being beat over the head with "You need to be alone with God! Nothing else matters!" Which, in theory, I sorta agree with.But when you start reading the Bible constantly, putting it above everything else, that's a problem. God tells us to fellowship, that family and friends need attention, and that we are to witness to others.Yes, we need alone time with God. Not in question. But then we need to take what we're learning and put it into action.

The author also constantly seemed "holier-than-thou" and bragging about how he does this and that, and been delivered from such and such.It was constantly, "You should do this like I do."

Something seemed very off with this guys theology to me. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but I could just tell something wasn't right with it. I was unsettled the whole time reading this book, and not just because I need to spend more time in the Word!

Overall, I was very let down by this book because it could've been SO GOOD! He could've outlined how to make time, how to really study and apply the Word, how to listen for God's voice, etc. But instead it was the same boring, vague refrain over and over.

Not recommended, especially not to new or non-believers.… (mere)
