Joan M. Thomas, R.N., B.S., is the mother of two sons and the grandmother of four. Her Moravian memories began in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she was raised and attended the Moravian Church. Joan now resides in Des Moines, Washington, with her husband Dick where she is a liaison for the Moravian vis mere Northwest Fellowship. To some extent this is a conventional and adequate pictorial history of St. Louis baseball through the years, with some emphasis on legal and geographic provenance of ballpark sites, but it eventually falls of its own weight, being poorly thought out, especially toward the end. The final chapter is basically nothing but photos of somebody 's (probably the author's) memorabilia collection, highlighted by amateur portraits of various players from the Cardinals' "Camera Day". Oddly, though the rest of the book is impeccably edited, the final chapter contains a homonym error or typographical error on nearly every page: apparently somebody wearied of editing.… (mere)
