This certainly has some good information for those readers who feel like they may have missed something after reading The Handmaid's Tale. This book is written in the style of a dictionary that contains entries to help explain the context of some of the people, places and things you've encountered in the novel. Why was it called the Rachel and Leah Center? How did Gilead twist religious teachings to form an government that is essentially free of those teachings? You'll find answers here.

Not a bad choice for fans of the novel, but it did get repetitive at times. I'd love to see this concept fleshed out into a longer work on the same subject.… (mere)
