No Spoiler Alert. London Secrets: Pillow Palace Adventures is a fun and adventurous story of a Scarlett, a young girl. The story centers around Scarlett's adventures with her Grandma/Queen Rose. Filled with adventure and a bit of magic, the story is a fast paced read for young adults/girls. The dialogue is easily read (good for young readers). The story is quick paced to keep young readers engaged. While the book is short (102 pages), it is a good length for young readers--they'll finish it before they have a chance to lose interest.

Full faith in Advertising: I won this book as part of the Library Things Earlier Reviewer Program.

A feel good, quick read romance. Our main character has got it rough, cant find a job, boyfriend moving across the country, may be gaining weight from all those cupcakes. when her life is flipped upside down will she find all the things shes looking for? Who knows? I do, and if you read this book so will you! I enjoyed the book, i would have loved to see a little more character depth but overall its a great book about love, following your dreams, second chances and some tasty cupcakes 4/5 stars for me.… (mere)

I received an advance copy of this book. Thank you.

This is a very light read. Overall, it was enjoyable, but I felt there could have been a more depth in the plot and characters in general.
Reagan Crossins is a recent law school graduate, who is failing miserably in finding a job. Add to that that her boyfriend has broken up with her. She acts more like a high schooler than someone who has graduated law school. The character is shallow, she eats a lot of cupcakes, and the plot is thin.
Rejection letters are sprinkled throughout the book, which I thought was clever.
The second half of the book does bring up something weightier, but it came off like it was added to make the book have more depth...although I'm sure it wasn't.

This is an enjoyable read, not everything has to be profound.

With a touch of magic, a little mystery, and a hint of adventure, this tale weaves around London, points out its most-known sights, and spins dreams of royalty.

I did not read the first book in this series, which didn't cause too many issues when jumping right in with the second. There is some backstory missing, but it's not too difficult to pick it up and enjoy the tale.

This is a quick read, which scurries along at a nice pace. Scarlet is a character to root for as she does the best she can in all circumstances, makes mistakes, and is determined to help out any way she can. Her enthusiasm to spend time with her grandmother is adorable, and her ability to make new friendships is inspiring...and not surprising. She's laid back and takes life as it comes. It does come with all sorts of interesting twists and turns, but considering she does possess some magical talent, it's not a surprise that situations can get a little odd at times.

Imagination takes flight as she teleports from one place to another thanks to magical books. I wasn't clear on how this worked on the time end as her parents never realized she was missing, but that might have been covered in the first book. The writing, in general, runs smoothly despite a few sharp transitions here. I did enjoy this one more as it went on, and do believe it'd make a nice read-aloud for those readers dreaming of princesses, travel, and a pinch of magic.
