Not precisely what I was looking for -- I was hoping for a more detailed discussion of the history of the sport, including major rules changes, technical advances, and disputes. Instead the book has an extremely light treatment of the subject. The bulk of the book is dedicated to bios of drivers who have won at the highest level along with brief bios of notable cars and events.

The only reason why I ended up with it was that the bookstore only had one copy and it was sealed, so I purchased it blind.

It isn't bad as a historical reference, but it wasn't what I wanted.… (mere)
