Very droll. W. G. Grace teams up with Dr. Watson, still mourning the recent loss of Holmes, to try and unravel a world-threatening mystery a year after the end of the War of the Worlds with the help of, among others, Oscar Wilde, Jules Verne and Dr Jekyll and a gang of French impressionists. The end result is somewhat in the vein of Adams or Pratchett but with greater depth.
