Sheryl Rambeau

Sheryl Rambeau, a popular public speaker for civic and fraternal organizations, began collecting vintage photographs and historical information about Georgetown as editor of the Georgetown Gazette in the 1970s. In conjunction with the California State Library and El Dorado County Historical Museum, vis mere she depicts here the story of one of the Mother Lode's most productive mining communities. The Images of America series celebrates the history of neighborhoods, towns, and cities across the country. Using archival photographs, each title presents the distinctive stories from the past that shape the character of the community today.
