- Punathil Kunjabdulla (3 April 1940 – 27 October 2017) was an Indian writer from Kerala. A medical doctor by profession, Kunjabdulla was a practitioner of the avant-garde in Malayalam literature.[1][2] His work includes more than 45 books, including 7 novels, 15 short story collections, memoirs, an autobiography and travelogues. His work Smarakasilakal (Memorial Stones) won the Central and State Akademi Awards.

കേരള സാഹിത്യ പുരസ്കാരവും , കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അകാധമിയും ഒരുമിച്ചു അവാർഡ്‌ ചാർത്തി കൊടുത്ത ഒരു ബുക്ക്‌ എന്നാ നിലയിൽ വലിയ പ്രതീഷയോടെയാണ് ഞാൻ ഈ ബുക്ക്‌ മേടിച്ചത് ...... പൂനത്തിലിന്റെ "എന്റെ കാമുകിമാരും" എന്നാ സാധനം വായിച്ചിട്ടും ഇത് വരെ പടം ഒന്നും പഠിച്ചില്ലല്ലോ എന്റെ ദൈവമേ എന്ന് തോന്നി പോകും ..അന്ധവിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ ഭീകരമായ മുഖം തുറന്നു കാണിക്കുന്നു എന്നോകെ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോ ഇത് വരെ കാണുകയും കേള്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാത്ത ഒരു പ്രത്യേകത പ്രതീഷിച്ചു. സത്യം പറഞ്ഞാൽ ഒരു പുതുമയും അവകാശപെടാൻ ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു തരം നോവൽ ... വായിച്ചിരിക്കാം അത്ര തന്നെ ബോറടിപ്പിക്കില്ല ............… (mere)
