Beyond Physical is definitely not your typical mystery/thriller or romance. It's a beautiful blending of the two genres which results in a story more delectable than a rich chocolate brownie. You can't help but get entwined in the lives of Richard and Joy while trying to solve the mystery yourself. The only bad thing I can say about this book is that it ends!

DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW: She wants a husband and a baby STAT; he’s the least eligible bachelor in town. She wants a forever home; he’s a house that might be crumbling down any minute.
Dr. Emery Love spent the last decade devoted to medicine and now the clock is ticking. After the fiasco of a canceled wedding, her list of requirements in a husband has decreased dramatically, but she knows what she wants: a healthy, steadily employed, fertile man. Her former patient Ethan Cadman doesn’t fit those criteria and she can’t afford to waste time with him. Why can’t she stop gravitating to his deep blue eyes, and that amazing smile he keeps in spite of adversity?
Contractor and amateur comedian Ethan Cadman knows he’s the least eligible bachelor in the world. Surviving cancer might’ve left him stronger, wiser, and with a greater appreciation for life. But it also left him broke, limited in his ability to work—and probably infertile. He has nothing to offer a woman as out of his league as Dr. Emery Love. But he has no guarantee he’ll be alive in five years, and she’s at the top of his bucket list.
When Ethan finds himself without health insurance, Emery would do anything to help him get coverage—even endure the torture of having him close every day. But she doesn’t know he’s had his eye on her for a long time. And some of the things he’s done trying to steal her are coming back to bite them both.
This sweet and sexy story—both poignant and hilarious—will make you laugh and cry page after page while inspiring you to live every day like it could be the last one.

REVIEW: Another winner from this series. Humor, lively intellectual confrontations, and sizzling attractions. A great combination in an entertaining read. And the message about keeping play as a part of life, no matter what age, poses some thought-provoking questions. It is a gentle reminder for all of us who have become too serious as adults. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW: She’s a stiff psychotherapist who grew up too fast. He’s an eternal child—who might be a psycho.

Psychotherapist and feminist author Allison Connors has built a name around teaching women by example they can be happy without a man. If her clients find out she’s captivated by fitness life coach Jay Johnson, her professional credibility will be in danger. It’s bad enough that his ridiculous muscles make him an eye-rolling cliché—but the man insists on stretching her definition of sanity. Why does he have to make it so difficult to stay away from him? And can Allison resist him in order to seize the best promotional opportunity of her life?

Life coach Jay Johnson has lived many incarnations in one lifetime. He’s done it all—twice—and now teaches others how to find health and joy. In spite of his success, he’s missing something that will allow him to return to the bliss of boyhood he always seeks. Nobody understands why he would want Allison Connors, a self-proclaimed man hater, but Jay has his reasons. However, Jay’s past holds a secret. If he insists on pursuing Allison, he could destroy her career.

As Jay’s relentless joy of living coaxes Allison to rediscover childhood, she is forced to question everything she’s based her professional life on. And when dreamy memories from Jay’s past collide with nightmares from the present, he has to make decisions about growing up.

This hilarious romantic comedy will make you laugh, face-palm, and roll your eyes with a smile page after page. But it will also surprise you with heartwarming moments and inspiration to embrace a little craziness in your life.

REVIEW: “Miracles don’t come as earth-shattering events from rumbling skies. They come disguised as small coincidences we need to act on.” There is a great deal of wisdom imparted in the first half of this book. Some of it is cleverly hidden in the clues for a series of unexplained deaths. I enjoyed the characters and the mystery. This is an ingenious combination of pointed statements about aging and our medical system all wrapped up in a good solid romantic suspense. This is my voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW: “There's more to the world than the eye sees and the hand touches.”
Someone is murdering politicians all over the country, and everything points to supernatural forces at work. But FBI agent Richard Fields has always relied on his strong sense of logic and is determined to expose the truth.
The lazy beach-town of Fort Sunshine, Florida seems to be the epicenter of a secret New Age society implicated in the murders. Richard's way of finding the killers may end up being Dr. Joy Clayton, a woman who intrigues him. She magnetizes Richard, but he knows better than to trust someone who looks too good to be true. In order to solve the mystery, he'll have to infiltrate himself in her life and uncover her secrets. He will also need to immerse himself in the teachings of an uncommon Spiritual Master who will shake his skeptical world.
Solving the case not only holds the future to Richard's career, it's also a matter of National Security. The clock is ticking before the assassins strike again. But as Richard is forced to go beyond his logic and physical senses, he may find himself fighting an enemy larger than he expected––his own demons.
