- "Morris Longstreth Parrish (1867-1944) was a successful Philadelphia stockbroker and so fastidious about the condition of the books in his collections that his name became associated thus: Parrish condition, i.e., the highest quality condition standard of first editions. Parrish also collected 24 other Victorian novelists, including Wilkie Collins, Trollope, Lytton, Barrie, Hardy, Stevenson, Dickens and Thackeray. His collections were donated to Princeton, where most of it is housed in its own room in Firestone Library, which recreates the Parrish library at Dormy House, in Pine Valley, New Jersey on the edge of the famous golf course."
