Henry Paolucci received his B.S. degree from The City College of New York and, after serving as a navigator in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, received a Master's Degree and the Ph.D. from Columbia University. He spent a year in Florence, as Eleanora Duse Fellow from Columbia, and, soon after that, a year as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Rome. He taught English at Iona College, Greek and Roman history at The City College and Brooklyn College of CUNY, and Dante and Medieval Culture at Columbia University, before joining the Department of Government and Politics of St. John's University, where he remained until his retirement as Professor Emeritus in 1991 Richard C. Clark served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. On his return to civilian life, he attended Iona College, where he graduated summa cum laude. He continued his studies at Columbia University, where he received a Ph.D. Until his retirement, he taught in the Department of Government and Politics at St. John's University.
