Visually appealing, well-executed comics, but the heterosexual nonsense is too much for me.
More interesting but maybe less cohesive than the first half of the series.
I enjoyed the novel version more than this one; but that may just be because I wasn't a fan of the art style. I didn't like how the characters looked so roughly drawn.

These are a great set of books with expressive art work, relatable characters and a great insight into Ivorian culture. It was refreshing to read a book about Africa that is joyful and celebrates the place and culture and isn’t about war and famine.… (mere)
