Interest in book is in the illustrator. Maurice "Jake" Day included a stint with Vanity Fair as their cover artist, followed by employment by Walt Disney to which he contributed a number of things including arranging with the State of Maine for a pair of fawns to act as models for "Bambi." His first contributions were to the film "Peter Pan."
