Join these three talented authors in conversation as they read from and discuss their work.
Torrey House seeks to continue in the tradition of Emerson, Thoreau, Muir, Leopold, Cather, Carson, Stegner and Abbey with like-minded authors today by taking readers outside their homes and offices, casting a lasting spell and appreciation in their minds, and thereby improving the way we interact with and manage the environment. Two percent of THP sales goes to conservation in the West. Given their desire to contribute to the betterment of both the ecology and the economy, THP commits that two percent of Torrey House Press sales be donated to a select group of not-for-profit environmental organizations. Donations also fund a scholarship available to upcoming writers in college. 2% to the West is their trademark logo, placed on the cover of each of their books, demonstrating their commitment.
We're happy to parner with our friends at Great Old Broads for Wilderness for this event, as well.
Great Old Broads for Wilderness is a national organization that uses the voices and activism of elders to preserve and protect wilderness and wild public lands. Conceived by older women who love wilderness, Broads gives voice to the millions of older (and not so able) Americans who want to protect their public lands as Wilderness for this and future generations. They bring voice, knowledge, commitment, and humor to the movement to protect our last wild places on earth.
