John Miller (6) (1915–1966)

In July, 1942, the Joint Chiefs of Staff set for the Americans in the South and Southwest Pacific areas three tasks. Task One was the seizure of Guadalcanal, Tulagi, and the Santa Cruz Islands. Task Two was the capture of the remainder of the Solomon Islands and of Lae, Salamanca, and other points in northeast New Guinea. Task Three was the seizure of Rabaul. This book covers the execution of Task Two.
