To be honest, I usually don't gravitate to poetry, but this title grabbed me. I have been a Kate Bush fan for a while! Kate Bush is eternal. To be even more honest, my brain doesn't understand most Kate Bush lyrics in the same way my brain doesn't understand most poetry. But this was a fun escape - I'm not sure how Fresh and New this collection is compared to most poetry... this is the only modern poetry I have read in quite a while. But the collection is enjoyable! I would set this on the shelf next to Lara Erhlich's 'Animal Wife'. Yeah, one is poetry and one is short stories, but both books share the same spirit.… (mere)

This book was a delight and challenge to read. It's not the style I usually gravitate toward -- it's more edgy, experimental. It's probably more flash fiction than poetry. I found it to be a rewarding read, and once I explored some of the references and nuances it was an amazingly dense little encyclopedia, under the covers.
