A wildly fascinating topic. I always appreciate books that give me suggestions for new books and articles to read on a topic - the bibliography is a gem.

I work at a vineyard, so wine and wine production is an interest of mine. I love reading about the history of wine and vineyards and this book didn’t disappoint in that area.

The history of wine in China is fascinating and their business models and how that differs from other countries is really interesting.

There’s a lot to digest in this book. It’s not a quick read, almost reading like a dissertation in its depth, but it’s not a hard read. The language is accessible and doesn’t alienate a reader who isn’t as well-versed in the wine industry.

I can tell how much work, research and love went into “Inside the Chinese Wine Industry” and I recommend it for anyone interested in history, wine, commerce, China, business, culture and how countries interact with each other through wine.

(I received this ebook as a Goodreads giveaway, with gratitude, and this is my unbiased opinion.)

I had the fortunate opportunity to read Death: An Exploration: Learning To Embrace Life's Most Feared Mystery by Loren Mayshark. I am not sure I would have read this book if it was my choice. However, Loren gifted this book to me, and after reading it, I am glad I did. As I read the book, I was struck by the fact that this was a personal exploration for Mayshark. It originated with the death of two family members before he became an adult. I have my own ideas about death and it was fascinating to see viewpoint of another. Read more… (mere)

When I saw that Loren Mayshark had written another book, I knew that I had to read it. I personally like how he writes his books—he writes from his heart. You know he's telling a personal story.

The title and cover immediately grabbed my attention. When I picked it up to read it, I could not put it down. I finished it in one sitting. This book is rel="nofollow" target="_top">Academic Betrayal: The Bullying of a Graduate Student. Since I work in higher education, the obstacles Mayshark faced fascinated me. I am confident his lessons will help me mitigate similar issues for students I come in contact with. Read more… (mere)
