Sarah Masters

This short, first book in a series was a good start. I liked both Ryan and Lee though they seemed to be opposites. The beginning was a bit confusing as I didn't know what Ryan had to deliver to Lee personally. The conflicting emotions that ran through the story has me hungry for the next book.

In this installment Ms Masters shows Lee's history. Physically and emotionally abused by his harridan of a mother. His father left when Lee was a child but Lee just can't garner the courage to leave too until his mother finds Ryan and Lee together naked. This was a good background story about the two guys from the same village but with two very different lives.

Lee is full of conflicting emotions at his mother's funeral. It was good to see Lee take down Doug in the bar. This story flows from Lee's and Ryan's POVs. I like the way Lee and Ryan balance each other though Lee needs some professional help putting the past behind him. The twist at the end with Doug was a surprise I did not see coming.

Comfortable in their love after Lee's shooting the guys go on vacation only to be stalked and threatened by another of Trevor's flunkies.
