- Marie-Louise, Archduchess of Austria, married Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte as his second wife in 1810 and became Empress of the French. After Napoleon's abdication, she fled with their son to Vienna. By the Treaty of Fontainebleau she was named ruling Duchess of Parma, Piacenza, and Guastalla. Following Napoleon's death in 1821, Marie-Louise married the Austrian general and stateman Count Adam von Neipperg, with whom she had 3 children. In 1834, Marie-Louise married for the final time, to her chamberlain, Charles-René, Count of Bombelles.
