Talk about a timely resource! My husband and I are in the middle of a major financial crisis, and have been praying for answers as to what our next step should be. Then Your Finances God’s Way dropped into my lap, and I have been immersed ever since, as we continue to pray for answers.

The first thing that struck me about this book is how Biblically based it is. There is no denominational sway, and I love that every point is backed by Scripture, which is clearly documented for further study. So many Christian books about finances only sprinkle in references here and there, but every point the author makes is backed by Scripture. “ We need wisdom to know when and how to spend, give, and save,” and the Bible truly does hold all of the answers. We just need direction, to know where to look, which is what makes this resource so incredibly valuable.

I loved reading the author's personal story, and appreciated his laid back, easy to read, writing style, which helped this nonfiction flow easily. My favorite part is the deep dive of Matthew 25 and the parable of the three servants. I’ve heard this parable many times, but something about the way Scott LaPierre presented it opened my eyes to Jesus’ meaning behind telling the parable.

The accompanying workbook takes this topic to a deeper level, as application is when you will truly see the change in your own life. I am a huge note taker, and I love that I can keep all of my thoughts in one place, but I do wish there was more room to write in the workbook itself. I also thought for personal study that it wasn’t as impactful as it would be in a group setting, which is awesome if you are going to use this for small group study, but for me it felt rudimentary.

Like I previously stated, I have submersed myself in this study since I received it, and to say it has been thought-provoking is an understatement. I truly believe that Your Finances God’s Way is an answer to a prayer, and I am so thankful this resource came into my life.

*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through JustRead Tours. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own.

This workbook makes for an excellent resource as an accompaniment for the actual book as it enhances what the author is presenting to his readers.

Here is the review I wrote for the actual book:

I received a ARC [Advanced Reader's Copy] Mobi.file from the author and the following is my honest opinion.

I began my journey of trying to be a good Christian woman at the age of 69 after publishing my first two Christian books day before this birthday, which inspired me to become a Christian blogger.

Since then, I've become a good Christian woman with a passion for sharing the words of the Lord; I've come to realize that he has instructed us to contend with everything we possess in life. So, given my passion, I would like to share the following scripture that should remind everyone reading that you're far more than what you perceive yourself to be. And when I talk about being contended, I talk about being happy despite the situations we might be going through in our lives.

Let me begin with what is written in MATTHEW 6:25-26 [NKJV]:

[25] "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
[26] Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Still, one of the things we need to be contented with deals with money, or in other words, our financial well-being. As Christians, we know that the Lord is called the Great Physician, but not too many of us realize that He is also a wonderful Financial Advisor.

To begin with, in HEBREWS 13:5 [NLT], we read the following:

"Don't love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, 'I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.'"
Being a Senior Citizen with a fixed income and my better half, we know how worrisome money can be in our lives; the apprehension of not possessing enough funds to pay our bills can be quite overwhelming. So, in regards to our financial well-being, we need to remember what is found in DEUTERONOMY 8:18 [NKJV]:

"And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day."

In this book, Pastor Scott LaPierre uses his family's experiences and extensive knowledge of Scripture to enlighten his readers in replacing their spending behavior with one that is aligned with what the Lord wants us to act like. Through the pages of this, you'll discover that not only is our Lord a GREAT PHYSICIAN, but He is also a wonderful FINANCIAL ADVISOR.

For wanting to share the words of a wondrous FINANCIAL ADVISOR with his readers, I've given Pastor Scott LaPierre 5 STARS for his endeavor here.
