- Hailing from the tiny town of Seymour, Wisconsin, Scott Langteau grew up to become the single Producer involved in the creation of two of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful franchises in videogame history: Medal of Honor and Call of Duty. He has over 20 years of production experience, having worked with companies like DreamWorks, Electronic Arts, Activision, Disney/Pixar, and the Jim Henson Company. Scott is the award-winning author of Sofa Boy, a grim yet fanciful cautionary tale for children about the perils of videogame addiction, The Question, a home-alone snowstorm adventure taken from the imaginative experiences of his youth in wintry Wisconsin, and his 2019 anti-bullying tale: BULLIED, a contemporary look at modern-day bullying and the impact it has on the futures of all involved. BULLIED was recently awarded the Moonbeam Children’s Book Award in the category of Best Mind/Body Self-Esteem book.

Shaking the moon to free the stars was a wonderful collection of poems for the older elementary child. I really enjoyed the realistic yet witty situations. the collection was well thought out with a variety of sorrow and joy. I could relate to a lot of these feelings when I was growing up. I would keep this book in my classroom as part of my library.
Yippee! Scott came to our library and read his book to us and it was FABULOUS! This is a cautionary tale that lets kids and adults know--play your video games in moderation! Get outside and enjoy life!
This is a great book about cabin fever in winter and looking for a reprieve. Kids of all ages love it because we know the feeling well of "asking the question". Rollicking text makes this a great read aloud!

A big snow storm has come through town, and Katy is curled up all warm inside. Suddenly, she looks over and sees a shivering frog outside! This little froggy is gonna make a world of difference for Christmas, just you wait and see. He becomes much like Goldilocks, taking up space in the warm house with lots of amenities about. That sounds great, right? No! More animals make their way inside, because this Christmas is all about the critters. They have all taken up resident until the humans return. This is gonna be one magical, animalistic Christmas.
This book is so utterly cute and such a fun yet goofy ride. This book is set at Christmas time, but feels like the kind of book you can read to anyone during the holidays. The focus is not necessarily Christmas but the antics these animals get into. Even if you don't celebrate Christmas, this is a great holiday book. It's all about a young girl giving some warmth to her animal friends. Except, maybe teach your kids to not do that.
