Dino books are such fun. I love getting to know German and Germany along side him, it feels like we are in this crazy adventure called immigration together. The chapter called "Überraschungsbesuch" was weird, and Dino's reaction not very plausible, but it certainly kept me interested! Overall a good read, and I highly recommend it for A2-ish level German learners.

A fantastic resource for someone learning German. Our narrator is Dino, who comes from Sicily to Berlin, and each story has him describing a small adventure. Every story is only a few pages, making them very approachable, and they are all either interesting or funny or both.

When I first started this book I hadn't yet begun formal German lessons, just some learning apps, and I understood about 10% of the content. A few months into my formal lessons and I understand about 80% of the content with about another 10% that I can get from the context. Reading something in German for fun (as opposed to homework) makes me feel smart, confident, and excited to keep going with my German learning.… (mere)

I've found this to be the most interesting book in the series so far. I liked how the characters discussed current issues like the refugee crisis, racism, and manipulating the media for political gain.
I have only the book of Stuttgart left to complete the beautiful series. It's been a nice journey with Dino.
