Summer Kinard

At first, I had a difficult time getting into this novel. There are a lot of characters to keep straight, but by the time I was into it a few chapters I was fully involved. I was very impressed with some of the ideas presented, specifically the issues of stillbirth and some coping measures.. The author addresses many issues, racism, friendships, temptations, marriage relationships, farewells, death and miracles to name a few and though it sounds exceptionally complex, the story flows smoothly. Although i myself prefer coffee over tea, i loved the notion Summer introduced to me of matching teas to people. Not only was I immersed in the novel, I was living it, and was disappointed when it was finished. The author has two more novels planned in this series, and I really hope she continues to keep us informed about the same characters because they became my personal friends, and i have no other way to keep up with their lives.
